There is only one person who can check out what is really happening her arch enemy Artemis Fowl, the teenage master criminal responsible for her downfall last time they met. But Artemis has problems of his own, it seems someone has his father and is holding him for ransom. There must be some kind of deal that can be struck so both sides get what they want, but can you ever really trust Artemis Fowl? | | Suitable for any independent reader, anyone would love this book! | | They're back! All the heroes from the first story are here, kicking butt and blazing their trails. This just gets better, the story is more complex and has more twists and turns than before. We see new sides to our heroes, and let's face it there are several heroes in this story. That's another thing I really like about these books, we don't always focus on one person there are several important characters and they all get their share of the limelight. Colfer has produced new gadgets and new baddies and taken the emotional side of the story much further than before. The characters are more real, they show more feelings, but still retain that fantastical quality that makes these stories classics of out time. What an outstanding sequel, you have not let us down Eoin! Thank you! | | Other books by Eoin Colfer include Artemis Fowl, Artemis Fowl The Eternity Code. | | This review by Mrs Mad. | | This adventure finds old enemies Holly Short and Artemis Fowl working together for the first time.
