His parents try to peruade him to have a bike, or some trainers, but Billy gets his way and they set off to Buckets "R" Us. There are thousands of buckets here to choose from, but Billy knows exactly what he wants and finally gets to take his bucket home. With a bit of water in it his bucket is the most wonderful thing in the world, it's just a pity his parents don't take him seriously, he does tell them not to use his bucket for anything, so they can't blame him for anything odd that happens! | | This is a lovely book to share with a very young child and an excellent choice to encourage emergent readers. | | My daughters love this book, they very quickly got into the habit of saying the lines themselves. They also like talking about what they can see in the pictures and what is going to happen next. This is a brilliant book and I would recommend it to anyone with a youngster who wants to hear stories. It's bright, colourful and funny, the pictures are full of detail and it's a simple idea. Perfect for the young reader or listener.
